Bobby Martínez-Principal

I started my teaching career at Virginia Avenue 15 years ago. So it is with great excitement that I am coming back to a school that I have always considered “Home.” There is no other school or staff like Virginia Avenue and I am beyond lucky to be coming back.

I look forward to continuing the amazing learning experience that Mr. Garde has created at Virginia Avenue; as well as, extending on it with some of my own ideas and expectations–focusing on attendance and celebrating student successes while pushing rigor and a pursuit of excellence. I cannot wait to see the growth all of the students will make as we make the push in this new year. 

I have always lived by the rule of three in my career. By working together with the teacher, parents, and students we will ensure that your student is cared for, given the best opportunities, and loves school. To ensure that this happens we need to make sure that all lines of communication remain open so that any concerns or issues are resolved and taken care of, without one the others cannot function properly. I am an advocate of all three parts working together so that the end result is a successful student who becomes a lifelong learner.

Thank you to the support of the staff and the parents who have already welcomed me back to Virginia Avenue. Again, I cannot reiterate how excited and happy I am to come back to Virginia Avenue, it's an amazing feeling to be back “Home.”
